Habitats are //
Abstracted architectural motifs, designed to investigate the social impact, legacy and contemporary relevance of buildings both unique & commonplace, from the terraced houses and industrial landscape of my native Manchester, through to the vast gothic churches of northern Germany.
The artist //
Manchester born & bred, up & coming artist Greg Meade operates from his studio in Ancoats, finding influence in the rich industrial heritage of the city. His most recent body of work has investigated the ever changing cultural & economic landscape of Manchester, where the increasing trend of demolishing heritage in favour of monotonous 'glass towers' threatens to diminish the proud history in the home of the Industrial Revolution.
